Join us this Sunday as we celebrate the end of the Epiphany Season with Transfiguration Sunday. Our St Luke Praise Team will lead us in song, we will bury the Alleluia and following the service enjoy some King Cake. Our celebrations come to an end on Ash Wednesday, as we begin our 40 Day Lenten journey. Ash Wednesday this year falls on February 14, Valentine’s Day. What a strange cohabitation, ashes and chocolate. At a deeper level the two occasions do come together. Ash Wednesday is a day to remember our own death, and St. Valentine’s Day celebrates love. Death is an occasion to remember love and celebrate love. Let us live with love, share love, and when our death comes, may our lives be remembered in love.
