LIFE PASSAGES
At St. Luke, we celebrate and support you through life's most meaningful moments. From baptism to confirmation, weddings to funerals, we're here to walk alongside you in faith and community.
BAPTISMS
The Sacrament of Baptism is for everyone! We at St. Luke see baptism as a sign of the new life that God gives us in Jesus and as a symbol of unity between all who bear the name Christian.
Regardless of age, language, culture, gender, or background, St. Luke welcomes all people to be washed in God's water of life.
Baptism Process:
- Parents/Adults: Meet with the pastor to plan the service and discuss discipleship
- Service: Held in the sanctuary as part of worship service
- Methods: Sprinkling, immersion, or outdoor baptisms available

FIRST HOLY COMMUNION
Preparation for the sacrament of Holy Communion takes place when the parent feels that the child is ready. St. Luke, an ELCA denomination, believes that all of God's children are welcome to the communion table.
Instruction Options:
- Group Classes: Formal instruction held each spring for 1st & 2nd graders
- Individual Instruction: Available for older children and adults

CONFIRMATION
Every year, St. Luke is excited to welcome new confirmands into our family of faith! Confirmation is a two-year education and fellowship program for 7th and 8th grade students, preparing youth to be full members of the church.
We also welcome youth from smaller ELCA congregations who may not have a confirmation program.
